Residential design focuses on livable spaces-spaces that are comfortable, safe, practical, spaces that people can connect to and where they can use all their senses, spaces to gather or spaces to reside in solitude.
This subject provides knowledge and skills in analyzing and developing interior spaces for typical residential projects. The main objective is translating client’s personality and vision as well as the future life of the building into the design language of creating a home.

TEACHING STRATEGIES:
Through research and practical exercise, the students are able to understand how a commercial environment operates. The subject's emphasis is towards Interior Design innovation, idea generation and brand awareness within the commercial design sector, covering retail, hospitality, office and educational spaces.
The program consists of theory based lectures and project based assessment.
