Interior presentation techniques are used to explain and tell the story of a design project through various visual mediums. Design communication as a subject translates ideas and presents them in a creative, exciting and compelling manner.

The aim of the subject is to teach basic skills for architectural drafting, free-hand sketching and rendering. Students obtain the ability to execute concept development through various methods of design communication, using different media.

TEACHING STRATEGIES:

Design Communication is where key skills are taught in the effective manipulation of techniques and mediums to easily realise and communicate design development both in two dimensional and three dimensional formats. The ability to draw and communicate design intent is a criterion skill for every interior designer and it is essential for the exploration and development of ideas.

 

 

The program consists of theory based lectures, tutorials and practical workshops.
