"As part of the design team at Temza London, my tasks and responsibilities included the following"

  • Meet with client and establish their needs

  • Site visit and careful and detailed analysis of the space. The aim-create a suitable and cohesive identity for the interior of the property.

The early-stage research included looking up the house's history and creating a concept around the origins of the building and its original decorative details. An essential part of this stage was to recognise the needs of the client and consider their daily routine and activities in order to create a practical home.

  • Concept development-choose design direction, possible colour schemes, materials and finishes.

  • Prepare presentation materials, explaining the rationale behind concepts and ideas.

  • Sampling-Create presentation boards for the client to understand the selected scheme, sourcing finishing samples for every item, accompanying client on special showroom visits.

  • Complete finishes, lighting, electric specifications and FF&E and accessories packages.

  • Request quotations, secure discounts with trusted suppliers, organise payments and invoices and place orders while ensuring all materials arrive when needed. Check that all delivered materials are as per the design and at the specified quality.

  • Site coordination and overseeing the installation.

  • Assist the team with snagging and final handover. Preparing a handover manual, including warranties and maintenance instructions.
